Ad blocking without compromise
A built-in blocker with full filter lists and cosmetic filtering — and Manifest V2 stays supported, so the real uBlock Origin keeps working. The way Chrome no longer allows.

The Chrome Web Store works out of the box. On top of that, browse aims for Firefox add-on compatibility — the gap no other Chromium browser fills today.

Ordinary browsers cap what an extension may store and touch. In browse, our backup tool all/backed is a first-class citizen: no storage quota, direct access to the backup drives you grant, and scheduled runs that don’t depend on the mood of a service worker. Patches without lag
A browser is security software, and we treat it that way: Chromium security fixes reach browse promptly through automated builds — not months later, as with one-person forks.
Sandbox & site isolation
Every site runs isolated in its own process, and extensions get exactly the permissions you grant. Chromium’s sandbox stays fully intact — we harden defaults, we don’t poke holes.
HTTPS-first & safe defaults
Encrypted connections by default, warnings before insecure downloads, and phishing and malware protection that works without sending your browsing history to Google.
Zero telemetry
browse doesn’t phone home. No usage statistics, no experiment flags, no install ID. The update server learns your version number — and nothing else.
