This website does not use cookies and no analytics or tracking services. Only two technically necessary entries are stored in your browser's local storage (localStorage): "theme" (your chosen light/dark mode) and "privacy-ack" (the confirmation that you dismissed the privacy notice). These values remain exclusively in your browser, are never transmitted to us or third parties, and can be deleted at any time via your browser settings. This storage is required to provide the functions you request and is therefore exempt from consent under Section 25(2) No. 2 of the German TDDDG; the legal basis for any associated processing is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
At /secrets/ we provide a tool for sharing messages and files. Encryption happens entirely in your browser (end-to-end); our server stores only the encrypted record — the decryption key never reaches our server. Stored records are deleted automatically after the chosen period (one week at most) or upon first retrieval. If a read receipt is enabled, the time of first retrieval is additionally stored until the record expires. When you use the tool, your browser locally creates the entries "secrets-outbox" and "secrets-requests" (a list of the links you created including their access tokens); these remain exclusively in your browser. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR; the local storage is exempt from consent under Section 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG.
If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your details from the inquiry form, including the contact data you provided there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We will not share this data without your consent.
The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract or pre-contract measures) and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in effectively processing inquiries).
